Our client is a premier, non-unionized leader in the Crane Build and Repair industry. Known for their technical agility and high safety standards, they are currently seeking an experienced Technician to join their elite service team. This role has opened due to the retirement of a long-tenured senior member, offering a stable, high-growth environment for a technician who takes pride in mechanical and electrical mastery.

Responsibilities
-Field Service & Troubleshooting: Perform on-site service calls involving complex diagnosis and repair of overhead cranes, hoists, rigging, motors, and gearboxes.
-Technical Execution: Lead the repair of electrical control systems (VFDs/PLCs) and mechanical components.
-On-Site Repairs: Perform flat MIG welding and mechanical overhauls as required by the specific job order.
-Documentation: Maintain accurate written timesheets and work orders, ensuring parts inventory on the service vehicle remains at par.
-Customer Advocacy: Act as a professional advisor on-site, providing technical guidance and preventative maintenance recommendations.
Qualifications
-Licensing: Ideally holds a 433A (Millwright) or 442A (Industrial Electrician) license.
-Experience: Previous experience specifically within the Overhead Crane industry is a must. Backgrounds in heavy machinery or mining equipment are highly valued.
-Technical Mastery: Proficient in troubleshooting VFDs and PLCs; strong mechanical aptitude regarding motors and gearboxes.
-Certifications: Valid Working at Heights, Forklift, and Scissor Lift tickets (preferred).
-Mobility: Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract. Ability to participate in a 1-week on-call rotation.
