We are actively seeking an experienced DC Manager, to lead their Warehousing operation at

their main site in Dandenong.
This is a key vacancy and is accountable for the daily operations and staff within the DC and
the associated distribution activities. The role is also responsible for ensuring that people and
equipment are employed efficiently and the warehousing distribution activities are performed
safely, accurately, commercially responsibly and in accordance with company requirements.
As well as day to day operational leadership, this exciting opportunity will include some level of
contribution on commercial functions, supporting new bids and assisting in the growth of the
client base.
Responsible for a large team on site, including an Operations Manager, Operations Support
Managers and Inventory Controllers, as well as blue collar staff on site.
Core responsibilities of this role include -
- Demonstrating 100% commitment to the safety of people, customers, the public and the environment.
- Delivering on agreed site KPI performance including revenue, cost, gross profit and EBIT budgets.
- Managing DC to minimum EBA (or state agreement) requirements including Union correspondence when applicable.
- Day-to-day management and organisation of the DC to ensure that work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with the Companies procedures and policies
- Ensuring the team services client queries and managing all DC clients, ensuring all KPI’s are met.
- Ensuring quality and stock control procedures are adhered to and/or developed
- Demonstrating 100% commitment to the safety of people, customers, the public and the environment.
- Positively advocating for the inclusion of proactive safety behaviours (safety leadership) in the operation of the organisation
- Providing direction and support to your team in the promotion and achievement of safe, compliant and quality work practices
- Ensuring that the DC is safe, presentable and clean at all times
What you’ll need to succeed in this role -
- A minimum of 8 years experience in senior management roles within the Warehousing or Distribution market.
- A sense of pride in your work, and the teams that you lead, we are looking for a true leader who will drive operational efficiencies but also help to shape a productive and inclusive culture across this site.
- Formal tertiary qualifications in relevant fields.
- Experience in dealing with change management and previous examples of this would be highly beneficial.
