The Technology team runs the pricing & order management stack covering pre-trade client RFQs, retail market distribution, life cycle management and secondary markets.
The team develops and maintains its own Structured Products OMS with in-house built pricing service. The OMS comprises of a C# front end with a host of backend services written in C# and Java.
The team spans the 3 main trading hubs (Hong Kong, New York, London), with team members in seven locations (Hong Kong, Guangzhou, New York, Toronto, Poland, London, and Paris).
Responsibilities

• Building out and supporting the strategic Structured Products platform
• The candidate will be a senior developer leading a team of developers within the Structured Products Technology Team
• The candidate is expected to lead by example in writing code, proposing solutions, and instilling best practices
• They will work at improving controls over the Equity Derivatives trading and/or operations tools, which will involve analyzing, understanding existing tools (Excel/VBA) and either re-design/re-write them in a target framework (in either Java or C#) or partially re-design them to start the path towards demise
• Developers are required to have day to day interaction with the structuring or trading desk and will work on tactical and strategic platforms.
• Managing end to end Projects, such as requirement gathering, development, UAT, deployment and support
• Writing test cases and documentation
Qualifications
MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
• Leading and developing a team of developers in a complex global environment
• Excellent hands-on knowledge of functional programming styles in Java or C# (Java Preferred), team is currently using Java 11 and will be moving to Java 17.
• Front to back knowledge and experience working in Equity Derivative Structured Products including trade capture, pricing, booking and lifecycle management (FX or Fixed Income).
• A passion to drive the adoption of modern best practices including test driven development, (TDD/BDD), devops, agile methodologies
• Ability to own the entire project cycle and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
• Knowledge of Google Cloud (GCP) would be advantageous
• Experience of noSql and relational databases (Mongo, Oracle, PostGres)
• Proven record of designing and implementing high-quality strategic solutions
• Motivation towards understanding further the Equity Derivatives business
• Excellent communication skills in English
