This role leads on-site technical teams and contractors to operate, maintain, and optimise critical plant electrical infrastructure, automation controls, and utility systems to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient continuous operations.

- Manage internal engineering teams and external service providers to safely and efficiently operate and maintain facility utility and waste systems in accordance with agreed service level agreements.
- Troubleshoot, plan, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance for major electrical equipment (transformers, switch-gears, motors) and automated production systems (DCS, PLC, BMS) to minimize downtime.
- Establish, organise, and execute calibration and validation programs for plant instrumentation to maintain strict compliance with cGMP principles and FDA regulatory requirements.
- Manage the annual operation and maintenance budget, track cost-saving performance indicators, and collaborate with multidisciplinary project groups on plant modifications and system upgrades.
skills and experience required
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline, combined with a minimum of 3 years of relevant maintenance experience within the chemical process or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experiences in process engineering or specialised manufacturing clusters.
