Salary: $125,863 – $143,171 per annum + super

Role Overview
This newly established Executive Level 1 position is designed to drive the maturity and continuous improvement of procurement and contract management across the agency. With expanding responsibilities—including supporting initiatives such as the Consumer Energy National Technical Regulator Scheme (CENTRS)—this role leads the establishment of fit-for-purpose guidance, capability building, and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Capability & Frameworks: Design and embed practical procurement and contract management frameworks, learning pathways, user guides, and templates across the agency.
- Senior Advisory: Provide expert advice on complex procurement, variations, contractual disputes, probity, value for money, and Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
- Team Leadership & Escalation: Serve as a senior escalation point, offering decision-support continuity during peak workloads or team absences.
- Systems & Governance: Support process improvements within ERP systems (TechnologyOne), manage internal SharePoint resources, and implement audit recommendations.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Practical expertise across the full Commonwealth procurement lifecycle and complex contract management.
- Proven experience designing user-friendly guidance, frameworks, and training materials.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills to influence senior leaders and delegates.
- Certificate IV or relevant qualifications in Government Procurement/Contract Management (desirable).
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline clearance.
