Energy Management Specialist – SCADA / OT (7x Vacancies)
The Opportunity We are partnering with a major utilities provider who is embarking on a massive transformational journey. They are replacing their legacy network operations technology with a next-generation Advanced Energy Management System (AEMS).
To support this generational leap, we are actively recruiting for 7x Energy Management Specialists to join the project on an initial 12-month contract. In this critical role, you will be the bridge between IT and high-voltage engineering, ensuring the ongoing reliability of existing EMS/SCADA platforms while the new AEMS is rolled out.
What You Will Be Doing
Working within a highly complex, critical infrastructure environment, your day-to-day will involve:
- Providing technical expertise on the design, development, and configuration of complex IT and OT operational systems.
- Testing core and integrated EMS/AEMS software functions to ensure data quality, integrity, and correct system operation.
- Diagnosing and resolving system issues across data flows, displays, and integrations in both test and live environments.
- Managing EMS/SCADA data, telemetry mappings, and the controlled promotion of database changes across development, test, and production environments.
- Supporting critical transition activities including FAT, SAT, and parallel operations.
About You To be successful in this position, you will have a strong technical foundation bridging software systems and power principles. You will also need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a relevant Information Technology discipline.
- Proven capability operating in real-time operational environments (OT / EMS / SCADA).
- Significant relevant experience with High Voltage (HV) Systems.
- Demonstrated experience in system troubleshooting, testing, and incident resolution.
- Desirable but highly regarded: Experience with Monarch (Emerson) systems, GENe (GE) Systems, or ICCP (Inter-Control Center Communications Protocol).
