The Role
This permanent role focuses on delivering the English curriculum to students in Years 10 to 12, ensuring they possess the communication skills required for both the QCE and the modern workforce.
Curriculum: Deliver engaging Year 10 English and Years 11 & 12 Essential English programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum and QCAA standards.
Literacy Focus: Develop essential reading, writing, and analytical thinking skills tailored to students pursuing vocational pathways.
Inclusion: Support students of varying abilities, fostering a classroom culture built on confidence, creativity, and mutual respect.
Collaboration: Work alongside a dedicated faculty and trade instructors to ensure a holistic educational experience for every student.
Assessment: Monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback that encourages growth and industry readiness.
Successful Candidate Profile
Qualifications: Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) and a recognized teaching degree.
Expertise: Experience teaching Junior or Senior English with a knack for making "Essential English" relevant and engaging.
Mindset: A proactive, student-centered educator who appreciates the value of vocational education and trade pathways.
