Responsibilities:Responsibilities include handling European Drinking Water (DW) contact approvals through review and maintenance of certifications for the DW Celanese portfolio. Certificates require monitoring expiration dates and initiating renewals/extensions in a timely and independent manner. This includes reviewing formulations in accordance with the latest regulations and, if necessary, adapting them to new legislation in cooperation with product specialists. Additionally, in case of product changes, appropriate measures must be taken, such as informing test institutes, providing relevant documentation and, potentially, coordinating new tests. Lastly, requesting new approvals for new grades/new business opportunities as per commercial requirements.Internally, the role involves negotiating the yearly budget (¿100,000¿¿200,000/year) based on projected sales volume with senior management (executive steering committee, business line management, etc.). This means preparing the budget, providing arguments to support decision-making for the Business Line and ESC, placing orders, preparing reports, etc. It also involves recommending whether to renew or allow certificates to expire based on business performance in recent years.Lastly, the successful candidate will be the contact person for test institutes and provide the necessary information (formulation, supplier documents and any other inquiry) to enable the formulation review process. This may also lead to further assessment and/or finding alternative solutions, alignment with technical specialists, procurement, etc.Tasks:- Continuously monitors the validity of existing certificates and coordinates their renewal in a timely manner.- Requests certificates for new products through alignment with project management and product specialist. This includes cost planning, formulation review in collaboration with the institutes, test materials collection and preparation of the required documentation according to the guidelines of the respective institutes. - Coordinates with product specialists regarding changes to the formulation of drinking water products, initiates any necessary update of the certification and addresses potential cost savings.- Arranges the external audit of test samples production, i.e. collecting the materials, appointing the external auditor and conducting the external audit with all necessary documentation.- Defines testing requirements with product specialists, processing laboratories and testing institutes in accordance with applicable regulations.- Acts as the Celanese internal contact person for worldwide projects, liaising with European DW approval offices (Celanese in Europe, China, and the USA) to maintain DW certificates.- Supports external customers with specific questions regarding drinking water approvals. - Monitors the invoicing of testing laboratories related to drinking water contact certificates.- Identifies potential cost savings and leverages marketing advantages in the commercial sector through knowledge of the regulations and product portfolio.- Maintains overviews of current drinking water certificates and communicates with the technical hotline and the sales organization to keep the commercial sector up to date, as well as adapting the portfolio of certified grades for specific platforms such as Chemille.- Maintains a repository of test reports and, if needed, shares them with test institutes (under a valid NDA).
