The Opportunity

We are currently managing multiple Financial Accountant opportunities across both North and South Brisbane.

These roles suit Financial Accountants who want exposure to core financial accounting operations, month-end processes, statutory reporting, and commercial analysis. With both permanent positions and temporary contract assignments available, we can match your experience, location preference, and work structure requirements to the right organisation.

Your Impact:

Depending on the specific position, core responsibilities across these roles include:

• Financial Reporting & Month-End: Manage the end-to-end month-end closing process, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Statutory Accounting & Compliance: Prepare annual financial statements, tax compliance deliverables (BAS, GST, FBT), and coordinate with external auditors.
• General Ledger Management: Oversee ledger integrity, journal entries, asset registers, and intercompany transactions.
• Cash Flow & Management Support: Assist with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and monthly management reporting.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies across financial controls, reporting rhythms, and ERP systems.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with non-finance operational leaders and corporate finance teams to explain financial results and manage compliance inquiries.

About You:

• Experience: 2-5+ years of experience in a Financial Accountant, Assistant Accountant, or Senior Auditor role.
• Qualifications: CA or CPA qualified (or currently studying towards qualification).
• Technical Skills: Experience with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TechnologyOne, NetSuite, or Xero) and Excel proficiency.
• Adaptability: Ability to navigate fast-paced environments, work to tight month-end deadlines, and adapt to different systems and workplace cultures.
