An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a market-leading manufacturing and distribution specialist based in the South-Eastern suburbs. This is a pivotal role for a professional looking to take ownership of end-to-end financial reporting and contribute to the commercial success of a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial records while providing the insights necessary to drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow reports.

• Month-End & Year-End: Lead the closing processes, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are completed to a high standard.

• Budgeting & Analysis: Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing detailed variance analysis to the leadership team.

• Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to IFRS/GAAP standards and internal corporate policies.

• Audit & Tax: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure all tax obligations are met.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies within the finance function to enhance reporting accuracy.

Your Profile

We are looking for a candidate who is technically robust but also possesses the communication skills to partner with non-finance stakeholders.

• Qualifications: Qualifed CPA/CA

• Experience: Ideally 3–5 years of experience within a similar Financial Accounting role, preferably within manufacturing, logistics, or a related sector.

• Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential. Experience with large-scale ERP systems is an advantage.

• Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to thrive under the pressure of reporting deadlines.
