Responsibilities
• Move controls to drive electric- or propane-powered counterbalance forklifts to transport materials safely between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, transport vehicles, or incoming freight containers.
• Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Inspect product loads for accuracy and safely move them around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery to the production line.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on heavy machinery and counterbalance equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance concerns immediately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment within the warehouse, adhering strictly to occupational safety standards.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of proven experience operating industrial trucks, with specific expertise on a counterbalance forklift.
• Possession of a valid forklift operator certification or the ability to pass an on-site practical evaluation.
• Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of practical hands-on warehouse experience.
• Reliable transportation to the Woodstock, Ontario facility to guarantee consistent attendance for the 7:00 am shift.
