We are seeking a Freight Analyst to join the shipping department of a major manufacturing business. Reporting to the Traffic & Customs Supervisor, you will provide critical administrative support to the department, with a primary focus on facilitating freight invoices related to production material.

Pay Rate: Up to £17.40 per hour
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours per week) Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 15:00 or 08:00 - 16:00, Friday: 5.5-hour shift, starting at 07:00 or 08:00.
In this role, you will support the core functions of the Shipping team, ensuring adherence to the company's Health and Safety Policy. Your specific duties will include:
Invoice Processing: Processing freight invoices related to inbound/outbound material, managing fluctuations in line with production volumes.
Verification: Ensuring freight invoices are only processed when the actual service has been provided.
Analysis: Collating metrics, analysis, and general administration regarding freight invoices and shipping performance.
Process Improvement: Focusing on continuous improvement and supporting process updates.
To be considered, you must demonstrate the ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions. The ideal candidate will possess:
IT Proficiency: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
Administrative Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to work very accurately.
Communication: Effective communication skills to liaise with various levels of the organisation.
Teamwork: The ability to work closely with others to achieve agreed objectives.
Sector Knowledge: Knowledge of BCP operations and an understanding of transport networks is desirable.
