- System Monitoring: Actively monitor gauges, computer screens, and flow rates to track and optimize plant production.
- Equipment Control: Adjust critical operational parameters, including temperatures, pressure, and valves, to ensure the plant runs efficiently.
- Machinery Inspection: Conduct routine site walk-throughs to inspect machinery for leaks, strange noises, or potential mechanical failures.
- Data Recording: Maintain accurate logs, shift notes, and timely reports regarding equipment performance and maintenance requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and uphold all workplace safety standards and policies, ensuring strict adherence to safe work practices and Glencore values.
- Demonstrated experience in a Fixed Plant operational environment.
- Confidence and proficiency with computer systems and remote control interfaces (SCADA/DCS).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and logical thinking skills.
- Ability to perform manual labour tasks.
- Capacity to work effectively without direct supervision.
- Versatile: You are physically fit and capable of performing manual labour as part of your daily plant duties.
