As the foundational leader of this newly created Hong Kong fund services arm, you will spearhead the building, structuring, and mentoring of a high-calibre team of technical accountants, client service professionals, and onboarding specialists. You will report directly to regional executive management and work within a high-visibility, flat corporate structure. about the job.
Architect and execute the end-to-end strategic layout, operational workflows, and technology infrastructure for the new Hong Kong fund services business.
Lead operational delivery and service excellence across alternative product lines, with a primary focus on Private Equity (PE), venture capital, and hedge funds.
Formulate and implement comprehensive internal control frameworks, valuation policies, and operating manuals in full compliance with SFC standards.
Drive vendor selection and system implementation for robust fund accounting and transfer agency platforms to maximize workflow automation.
Act as the key commercial face of the business, partnering with business development teams to pitch to institutional fund managers and anchor clients.
Oversee regional profit and loss (P&L), operational budgeting, regulatory reporting, and strategic resource allocation to scale the business unit smoothly.
skills & experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is strictly mandatory.
Minimum 15 years of experience within fund administration or asset servicing, with a strong background in alternative investment structures.
Proven track record of operating at an executive leadership level with prior experience in a greenfield business setup or major change transformation.
Deep technical expertise in the operational lifecycles of Private Equity and hedge funds, including complex asset valuations and system integrations.
Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is mandatory to effectively manage regional operations, lead local teams, and engage with diverse stakeholders.
