We are partnering with a well-known FMCG/Consumer product within the food & beverage sector in looking for a Head of Sales to lead and manage the Greater China region.

The individaul will be leading the commercial expansion and managing a sizeable team across the region to drive revenue growth and brand presence across different distribution models.

about the job.

Develop and implement bespoke sales strategies for Mainland China (focusing on O2O, new retail, modern trade, distribution) within the food & beverage category
Oversee the integration of traditional offline retail with China’s dominant e-commerce platforms (Tmall, JD.com, Pinduoduo) and social commerce (Douyin, Little Red Book).
Manage a complex network of regional distributors and sub-distributors, ensuring positive ROI, continuous development on performance (and KPI metrics), and price stability across the region
Work with local teams to ensure food safety standards and import/export regulations are met for all SKUs
Maintain and develop relationships with external stakeholders across different business touch points to ensure smooth business operations and positive ROI
Collaboration with marketing and trade promotions team to ensure marketing/brand promotion consistencey across the region
Full accountability for the Greater China P&L, including strategic trade spend allocation, listing fees, and regional pricing
In-depth market analysis to identify opporutnites for growth
Act as the bridge between the regional sales teams and Global Headquarters, translating local market dynamics into actionable global insights.

skills & experiences required.

Degree holder
15+ years sales/buiness development experience in FMCG/Food & Beverage
Preferably with recent exposure to the Greater China market
Proven record in leading sizeable teams
Proven success in scaling and leading food brands within the Mainland China market is a must
Existing relationships with major regional players (e.g., CR Vanguard, Sam’s Club China, DFI Retail Group, PX Mart).
Willingness to travel extensively across the region to visit regional offices and key partners.
Strong negotiation skills, strong business acumen, numeric and analytical
Fluent in written and spoke, Chinese, Mandarin and English
