- Strategic Quality Leadership:
- Develop and implement the overall quality strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949).
- Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality and regularly report on performance to senior management.
- Quality Management System (QMS):
- Ensure the effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the QMS in accordance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
- Lead internal and external audits (customer, certification bodies) and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
- Oversee document control and record keeping for all quality-related processes.
- Product & Process Quality:
- Drive APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities for new product introductions and engineering changes.
- Implement and manage statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
