Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials efficiently
Assemble, test, prepare, and install mechanical components on stationary and mobile equipment
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and machinery
Perform cleaning and routine maintenance of equipment and work areas
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to guide work processes
Prepare accurate reports, logs, and documentation for mechanical tasks
Conduct basic electrical maintenance as required
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Work flexible shifts in a 24/7 operational environment as needed
Travel regularly to customer sites for field service assignments
Respond promptly to emergency service calls when required
Perform additional related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Demonstrated commitment to following all safety procedures and best practices
Enrolled Apprentice or Journeyperson through Alberta Industry Training is an asset (not required)
Valid Class 3 or Class 1 driver’s license with proven defensive driving abilities (mandatory)
Strong background in industrial manufacturing and mechanical repair
Ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints effectively
Basic understanding of diesel engines
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair, including power generation, alternators, and control systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and leverage prior experience for new tasks
Strong customer service orientation
