The Opportunity We are seeking trade-qualified HVAC / Refrigeration Technicians to join a dedicated facilities engineering team supporting a world-class public hospital and healthcare precinct in Herston.
With multiple positions open, this opportunity commences on an initial 2-month contract with a clear pathway to permanent employment, providing excellent earnings and a fantastic work-life balance via a structured 9-day fortnight.

Your Daily Responsibilities:
- Conducting scheduled preventative and reactive maintenance on hospital HVAC plants, AHUs, FCUs, chillers, and cooling towers.
- Managing critical environmental controls, including theatre positive pressure, negative pressure isolation rooms, and pharmacy cold rooms.
- Diagnosing mechanical/refrigeration faults, carrying out system repairs, and replacing components.
- Calibrating sensors, testing safety cut-outs, and collaborating with building management system (BMS) operators.
- Upholding healthcare infection control protocols and rigorous WHS standards.
What You Need:
- Trade Qualification: Cert III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration.
- Licences: Current Full ARC Licence & relevant QLD trade/restricted electrical licence.
- Safety Ticket: Construction Industry White Card.
- Driver's Licence: Current unrestricted C-Class Driver’s Licence.
- Work Rights: Full Australian Working Rights.
