The Opportunity
We are currently partnering with a large Government body to secure trade and technical professionals for critical facility maintenance positions. We are actively recruiting for both HVAC Field Technicians and BMS Control Room Operators to manage the heartbeat of major health sites.
These positions are offered on a Temp-to-Perm basis, giving you a clear, structured pathway into a permanent and secure public sector career where your role directly impacts patient safety and facility integrity.
The Payoff
Premium Base Rate: $56.95 per hour + Super.

The Rosters (Choose your balance):
HVAC Field Technicians: A highly attractive 9-day fortnight (enjoy a 3-day weekend every second week).
BMS Operators: A structured 4 days on, 3 days off rotating roster.

Choose Your Stream: The Work
Stream 1: HVAC Technicians (Field-Based)
Working hands-on as part of the Facilities Management team across the campus:
Reactive and preventative mechanical maintenance of HVAC systems.
Fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, and split systems.
Maintenance of essential refrigeration units and medical cooling storage to ensure minimal disruption to clinical services.
Ensuring all physical work complies with strict health and safety (WHS) and government standards.
Stream 2: BMS Operators (Control Room / "Eye in the Sky")
Ditch the tool belt and step into the control room to manage the building's vital signs:
Monitor & Optimise: Manage complex Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure precise HVAC, air quality, and temperature controls across a clinical campus.
Rapid Response: Detect and respond to system alarms, coordinating closely with the on-site mechanical field team (Electricians, Fitters, Plumbers) to action immediate repairs.
Critical Escalation: Lead the communication process during system outages or emergencies to keep essential services online.
Data Integrity: Maintain precise digital logs and ensure high-quality shift handovers.
What You Need
For HVAC Technicians:
Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
Restricted Electrical Licence.
For BMS Operators:
Mechanical or Electrical trade background preferred (Fitter, HVAC, Sparky, or Plumber) OR a proven background in a high-stakes Control Room environment.
Deep technical understanding of how HVAC and hydraulic systems interact within large facilities, paired with high computer literacy.
A current Boiler Ticket will put you at the front of the pack.
Mandatory Compliance (Both Roles):
Full Australian Working Rights and a valid Driver’s Licence.
Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
Must be site-compliant in terms of healthcare vaccinations.
