Responsibilities
Perform preventative, predictive, reactive, and emergency maintenance on production equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Diagnose PLC-related faults and support automation troubleshooting activities
Complete root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions
Accurately document maintenance activities and work orders within the CMMS system
Support production uptime by responding to breakdowns in a timely manner
Assist with production line upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement projects
Work closely with maintenance team members, production staff, and external contractors
Read and interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic drawings, and hydraulic diagrams
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, food safety, and workplace safety standards
Support maintenance procedure development, training initiatives, and operational improvements
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications
Valid Ontario Industrial Electrician (442A) License required
3+ years of maintenance experience within a food or manufacturing environment
Strong troubleshooting experience with industrial electrical systems and PLCs
Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings
Experience working with CMMS systems and preventative maintenance programs
Hands-on experience with industrial tools, machinery, and manufacturing equipment
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as required
