key responsibilities
- End-to-end management of Belgian and international VAT compliance (monthly/quarterly declarations, EC Sales lists, Intrastat returns).
- Reviewing cross-border transactions, invoicing rules, and territoriality regulations.
- Day-to-day general accounting duties, reconciliations, and supporting period-end closures.
- Serving as the internal point of contact for VAT and tax-related queries.
qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record as a Senior VAT Accountant or Senior General Accountant with deep VAT expertise in Belgium / EU.
- Languages: Fluent English is required. Knowledge of German is a strong asset.
- Mindset: Highly autonomous, flexible, hands-on, and able to hit the ground running from Day 1.
- Availability: Available to start in November for a 4-month assignment.
