- Plan, lead, and execute end-to-end risk-based internal audit assignments across fund management operations, trading desks, sales distribution, and corporate functions.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control frameworks, valuation policies, and risk management systems in accordance with global auditing standards.
- Ensure all asset management practices and investment operations strictly comply with SFC regulations, code of conduct requirements, and local statutory laws.
- Formulate high-quality, concise audit working papers and comprehensive audit reports that clearly communicate control deficiencies and practical remediation plans.
- Partner with business heads and operations managers to track and verify the timely implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
- Support the continuous optimisation of the annual risk assessment process and assist in developing data-driven audit tools to enhance testing efficiency.
skills & experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- CPA, CIA, or equivalent professional accounting/auditing qualification is a big plus.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in internal audit within an asset management firm, or assurance experience within the Big 4 (asset management/buy-side audit portfolio).
- Solid technical understanding of investment products, fund administration workflows, and SFC regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to discuss control issues constructively with business units.
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is mandatory to effectively conduct audit testing, collaborate with regional business lines, and author high-quality reports.
