Journeyman Welder: The Precision Manufacturer
Location: Edmonton, AB Pay: $36.00/hr + Profit Sharing
Shift: Monday – Friday (Days) Status: Permanent, Full-Time
...
Tired of the "chase" and looking for a shop you can actually call home? We are a global leader in power transmission and motion control, and we don't just "stick metal together"—we engineer performance. We need a Red Seal or Journeyman Welder who treats GMAW (MIG) welding like an art form. If you want to work for a world-renowned manufacturer where your welds are the backbone of industrial innovation, this is your next move.
Advantages
We don't just offer a job; we offer a foundation. This is a role for a professional who values their life outside the shop as much as their work inside it.
Rock-Solid Stability: This is a permanent, year-round role with a global giant. No seasonal layoffs, no "project-based" uncertainty.
True Wealth Building: Beyond the $36/hr, you get Company-Matched RRSPs and participation in Annual Profit-Sharing and performance bonuses.
Day 1 Benefits: Immediate access to a robust Medical, Dental, and Vision package. We take care of our people.
The Schedule: A consistent Monday–Friday day shift. Get your weekends back while still having access to overtime when you want it.
State-of-the-Art Facility: Work in a clean, "5S" organized, high-tech environment that prioritizes your safety and development.
Responsibilities
Precision GMAW: Performing high-quality MIG welding on mild steel and industrial alloys to strict CWB standards.
Technical Interpretation: Reading complex blueprints and symbols to layout, fit, and weld assemblies with "zero-defect" accuracy.
Quality First: Conducting visual inspections to ensure every component leaving your booth is flawless.
Shop Stewardship: Maintaining your equipment and keeping a professional, organized workspace.
Qualifications
The Credential: Valid Red Seal or Alberta Journeyman Welder Certificate is non-negotiable.
CWB Tickets: Current CWB Certification in GMAW (Flat/Horizontal minimum; All-position preferred).
The Experience: 3–5 years in a heavy industrial or manufacturing shop. You know your way around calipers, squares, and technical drawings.
The Mindset: You are punctual, collaborative, and believe that if a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right the first time.
