BE / B.Tech Electronics and communication with 1-2 years of Testing background experience.
Required Skills:
- Strong in basic electronics, to understand board schematics, .brd file using allegro viewer.
- Should be part of a HW product development cycle & have exposure to the tools and applications to store the reports, plans & to track bugs. Skilled in the use of Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, DVM and Logic Analyzer.
- Should be well versed in generating test plans & tabulation of test results & uploading the report after review.
- Should have strong knowledge & experience in scripting using Python, TCL; experience in using Thermal chambers manually & with automated methods.
- Should have experience in high-speed board testing & qualification activities like DVT, EDVT, EMI / EMC (Desirable).
- Should have experience working in Linux / Unix environment, Window OS & Familiarity with PL/SQL, Spreadsheet, Word Processor, Database, excel & ppt , Email & Web Browser software is a must
- Should be good in Networking. Ability to configure and set up complex router and traffic equipment on a wide variety of interfaces. Ethernet, POS, ATM, Serial, E1/T1 etc and exposure to traffic generators ( IXIA/ spirant) and L2/L3 testing (BGP/MPLS/VRF protocols))
- Qualifying the high-speed boards to check the robustness of the HW design using simulated environmental conditions.
- Developing the scripts to automate the test bed & to control the instruments like chamber, frequency generator etc., via their control ports. (Python background or any other scripting language exp)
- Develop test plan, procuring needed materials for the testing, project execution & preparation of test report.
- To run the scripts on Linux environment & should be aware of Linux environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Support development prototype testing and sustaining engineering on any of the router / switch products.
- Updating systems with new hardware and firmware.
- Responsibilities include Determining what test equipment and procedures are to be used.
- Setting priorities and directing the activities of lab rework personnel and technicians.
