Responsibilities
- Manage the complete month-end process, including accounting entries, reconciliations, variance analyses, and the preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Produce financial analyses and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support the management's strategic and operational decisions.
- Participate in the implementation and improvement of FP&A processes and analyses, including budgets, financial forecasts, profitability analyses, and financial models.
- Develop and improve BI tools, dashboards, and automated reports to optimize access to and analysis of financial data.
- Review, structure, and improve accounting and financial processes to increase operational efficiency and internal controls.
- Supervise and support a small accounting team by ensuring the coordination of priorities, quality of work, and skills development.
- Collaborate with operational teams and act as the CFO's right-hand in various strategic projects related to the company's growth.
- Support audits and ensure financial compliance by preparing the required documentation, analyses, and follow-ups.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA designation in progress or recently obtained (an asset)
- 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or firm setting
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.) is an asset
- Team spirit, autonomy, rigor, and willingness to learn
