The Project
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Labourer to join a flagship New Build College project. This is a multi-million-pound development featuring state-of-the-art workshops, laboratories, and lecture halls. As this is a Tier 1 site, we operate with the highest Health & Safety standards and expect a professional "site-ready" attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Site Maintenance: Keeping the construction area, walkways, and welfare facilities clean, tidy, and hazard-free.
Material Handling: Safely loading, unloading, and distributing building materials (e.g., plasterboard, timber, bricks) to various floors using lifts and hoists.
Trade Support: Assisting skilled tradespeople (carpenters, bricklayers, electricians) with manual tasks as required.
Waste Management: Segregating waste into correct skips and ensuring the site remains environmentally compliant.
Safety Adherence: Following strict site safety protocols, including wearing full PPE at all times and reporting any hazards to the Site Manager.
Requirements (Essential)
Valid CSCS Card: (Green Labourer Card as a minimum).
Full PPE: Hard hat, high-vis vest/jacket, steel toe-cap boots, gloves, and safety glasses.
Physical Fitness: Ability to handle heavy lifting and remain active for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
Reliability: Punctuality is critical; Tier 1 sites have strict morning inductions and start times.
Communication: Good verbal communication skills to coordinate with site management and other trades.
