Learning Support Assistant (KS3 & KS4)- Heswall, Wirral- CH60
As an LSA, you are the vital link between the teacher's lesson plan and the student's understanding. You will work primarily with students in Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) as they transition to high school, and Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11) as they prepare for their GCSEs.

Duties:
- Support students in 1:1 or small group settings to help them access the curriculum.
- Adapt learning materials to suit the specific needs and abilities of individual pupils.
- Help manage classroom behaviour to create a calm and productive learning environment.
- Guide students through social interactions to build their confidence and emotional resilience.
- Assist teachers in tracking progress and identifying areas where a student needs extra care.
- Provide a safe and encouraging space for students with additional learning needs to thrive.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualifications: A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) is essential. A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desirable, though we value relevant experience just as much.
- Empathy & Patience: The ability to remain calm under pressure and see the world through a student's eyes.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to coordinate with teachers and explain complex ideas simply.
- Adaptability: A flexible mindset, ready to pivot your approach when a student needs a different way of learning.
- Resilience: A positive attitude and the determination to keep showing up for our young people..
