About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to focus on the critical middle years (Years 8 & 9) and provide targeted Numeracy support. This is a 1-year contract perfect for an educator who is passionate about building foundational skills and mathematical confidence in students.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver the Mathematics curriculum to Year 8 and 9 cohorts.
Implement targeted Numeracy strategies to support students with varying ability levels.
Utilise the college’s instructional model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate) to create structured, high-impact lessons.
Collaborate with the Maths faculty to analyse student data and improve learning outcomes.
Successful Candidate Profile
Registration: Current VIT Registration (Provisional or Full).
Qualifications: Bachelor of Education or Masters of Teaching (Maths methods/specialisation).
Approach: Strong behaviour management skills and a passion for middle-years numeracy.
