Responsibilities
-Create, edit, and modify AutoCAD drawings based on design provided by engineers
-Utilize annotation for clarification
-Develop and read mechanical piping and steel structures as well as mechanical and shop drawings
-Collaborate with engineers and shop and construction operations to meet fabrication and constructability requirements.
-Mechanical and Steel Structure Layout Plans
-Mechanical and Steel Structure Fabrication Drawings
-Steel Connection Details
-Assist with design tasks including structural modeling, detailing, bill of materials
-Actively assist in the delivery of a complete project. This may include phone or e-mail correspondence, attending meetings, and other project documents required for project completion
Qualifications
• 5+ years experience minimum with AutoCAD (in a professional capacity, not university)
• Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete
•Ability to read and interpret mechanical and steel structural designs
•Experience with mechanical piping, fittings, valves, steel structures, and sheet metals
• Understanding of engineering principles, assembly, fabrication, and construction
•Proficient use of Inventor or SolidWorks is highly advantageous
