This opportunity is in a growing QLD-based industrial pump solutions business. Operating within an ISO-certified framework for Safety, Quality, and Environment, this company has established a market-leading reputation over the last 20 years. They are a trusted partner to major councils, utilities (like Urban Utilities and Seqwater), and private infrastructure giants.
The Role:
Due to a strong pipeline of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, we are looking for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join their specialist installation team.
You will be working in a well-structured team of 15, split into agile 4-person squads.
Your day-to-day will involve travelling to various brownfield and greenfield sites across the Brisbane Area to handle the mechanical installation of pumps and critical infrastructure equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete full on-site installation of industrial pumps (submersible, split-case, end-suction, borehole, and chemical dosing pumps).
- Install associated infrastructure equipment, including complex pipework, valves, chemical batching/dosing facilities, inlet screens, and structural steel assets at water treatment plants and sewage pump stations.
- Position, anchor, and mechanically align industrial water pumps according to technical specifications.
- Fit, connect, and seal associated pipework, valves, flanges, and manifold systems.
- Assemble and integrate auxiliary equipment, coupling systems, and structural supports.
- Conduct pre-start checks, verify mechanical seals, and test system pressure to ensure leak-free operation.

About You:
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter (highly skilled Boilermakers or experienced Site Supervisors looking to stay hands-on are also highly encouraged to apply).
- Proven experience working on water treatment plants, wastewater assets, or similar heavy industrial water infrastructure environments.
- Must have (or be willing to get) up-to-date water treatment industry vaccinations, specifically: Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap/dTpa), and Hepatitis A & B.
- Tickets that are valuable (not required): MR or HR Licence, Work in Hights, EWP Ticket
