Keep our production moving. We are looking for a trade-qualified Fitter to join our team, balancing rapid breakdown response with a proactive approach to plant reliability.
The Role
You will ensure peak operational efficiency by maintaining complex production machinery. This role is about more than just "fixing things"—it’s about reducing downtime and evolving our maintenance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Rapid Repair: Respond to breakdowns and urgent repairs in a timely manner.
Reliability: Shift the focus from reactive to proactive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.
Continuous Improvement: Help develop maintenance programs and suggest plant performance upgrades.
Safety & Quality: Uphold strict safety, Food Safety, and Animal Welfare standards in all activities.
What You’ll Need
Trade Qualified: Australian Mechanical Trade Qualification is essential.
Technical Expertise: Strong fault-finding skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and complex mechanical systems.
FMCG Experience: Background in industrial manufacturing (FMCG preferred).
Problem Solver: Proven ability to multitask and solve problems under pressure.
Digital Literacy: Basic Excel skills (Maximo CMMS experience is a plus).
Flexibility: Ability to work across a rotating Day, Afternoon, and Night shift roster.
