• Execute overhaul, fault diagnosis, repair, and precision reassembly of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, hydraulic power packs, actuators, and diesel engine components.
• Conduct precision machining, alignment, pipefitting, and component fitting to strict engineering tolerances and quality standards.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics, and technical work packs.
• Complete documentation, inspect components, and fill out Maintenance Control Records (MCRs) in accordance with quality management guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with stringent safety protocols, environmental practices, and standard operating procedures within a industrial/maritime environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Trade Qualification: Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning / Mechanical Fitter) or equivalent.
• Proven fitting, overhaul, and machining experience in a heavy industry, marine, defence, manufacturing, or mining environment.
• Sound knowledge of fluid power (hydraulics and pneumatics) and mechanical alignment techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in tight, confined spaces
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a safety-focused team.
  
  

Security Clearance & Eligibility Requirements

• Citizenship: Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Security Clearance: Must hold, or have the ability to obtain and maintain, an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
