Duties:
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Perform breakdown repairs and servicing on heavy production plant equipment and presses.
- Diagnostics & Overhauls: Diagnose mechanical faults, strip down high-tolerance machinery, and fit replacement parts.
- Fluid Power Systems: Repair and service high-pressure hydraulics, pneumatics, heavy gearboxes, and conveyor lines.
- Schematics & CMMS: Read engineering blueprints and hydraulic schematics while logging work in digital databases.
- Fabrication & Machining: Complete basic manual machining, alignment fixes, and minor MIG/TIG welding for line adjustments.
Skills & Experience:
- A Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade / Fitting & Turning) or equivalent.
- Proven experience maintaining heavy machinery, hydraulic systems, and automated production lines.
- Ability to read complex engineering schematics and diagnose mechanical faults quickly.
- A proactive, safety-first mindset with strict adherence to LOTO and site safety procedures.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and police check.
