Our client is a software engineering and IT consulting provider that specializes in online casino and sportsbook solutions. They are currently looking for a Java Developer to join their team in Budapest.
Pozíció leírása / Job description- Collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and developers.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers.
- Occasionally step in to lead the team when necessary.
- Maintain and continuously improve the scalability and high availability of the system to support growing load.
- Work with third-party game providers and integrate their games into the aggregation platform.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant production environments.
- Deep expertise in OOP, Java, and SQL, coupled with an understanding of distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Java, Spring boot, MySQL (or any relational database), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
- Comfortable working independently and owning features from concept to release.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle technical challenges with minimal guidance.
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to collaborate well with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Proactive and self-driven.
Nice to have:
- Expertise in the casino domain or experience with playing in casinos.
- Experience with high-load applications.
- Familiarity with Redis, Claude Code/Cursor.
- Familiarity with performance optimization and tuning.
