As a Motion LAB Production Engineer, you bridge the gap between initial design concepts and high-volume manufacturing. Operating within the ASML Motion LAB, you will design, maintain, and optimize production processes for complex linear actuators used in our state-of-the-art lithography systems (XT, NXT, NXE, and EXE).
In this hands-on role, you validate new products, process changes, and tooling in a controlled lab environment before floor rollout, ensuring flawless manufacturability and minimal production risk.
- Process Design: Define work instructions, process flowcharts, tooling requirements, and parameters for complex mechatronic assembly.
- 2nd Line Support: Act as the technical escalation point for shop floor disturbances that 1st line support cannot resolve.
- Failure Analysis: Lead root-cause investigations on non-conforming products and quality complaints to prevent recurrence.
- NPI & R&D Interface: Collaborate with Development & Engineering (D&E) during pilot phases to feed manufacturability insights back into early product design.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean, 6P, and quality frameworks (FMEA, SPC) to stabilize processes and boost yield.
- Mentorship: Coach shop floor operators and junior engineers on updated protocols and technical standards.
