Key Responsibilities
- Lead injection moulding process development for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and implement productivity and continuous improvement programs for the plant
- Plan and execute mould trials, establish optimal machine settings utilizing scientific moulding principles, and conduct Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Lead process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) and prepare necessary process instructions, setup sheets, and manufacturing standards.
- Troubleshoot process and tooling-related problems during production and perform capability studies to achieve overall quality and process goals.
- Oversee the lifecycle of moulds, which includes participating in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews, initiating engineering changes, managing preventive maintenance programs, and tracking service records.
- Provide technical guidance during equipment and tooling reviews (e.g., FAT, SAT) and ensure the successful transfer of validated moulding processes into mass production.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Polymer and Plastic Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in injection moulding process engineering.
- Experience in medical, electronics, or high-precision manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Proven track record supporting NPI programmes and executing process validation activities.
- Strong technical knowledge of scientific moulding, DOE, SPC, and root cause analysis; RJG or equivalent Scientific Moulding certification is a distinct advantage
