Client Overview & Scope
Our client is a growing, Australian-owned business in the food service industry, specialising in the supply and distribution of premium dry, fresh, and frozen goods across major regional and metropolitan networks.
This hands-on leadership role is designed to support the Warehouse Manager by overseeing the daily operations of the afternoon shift.
Operating on a Sunday to Friday roster (4:00 pm – 12:00 am), you will be working in a fast-paced cold storage environment, driving productivity, managing staff, and maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and supervise the afternoon warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets.
- Conduct regular team briefings and provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance support.
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and adherence to company policies.
Operational Management:
- Coordinate end-to-end warehouse activities, including receiving, replenishment, picking, loading, and dispatching.
- Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to guarantee customer delivery deadlines are met.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Inventory & Safety Compliance:
- Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy, overseeing correct storage procedures and strict FIFO stock rotation.
- Assist with stock takes, warehouse reporting, and the investigation of inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure stringent compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, food safety, and quality assurance requirements across all warehouse activities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ yrs of proven background in a Warehouse Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, or Team Leader capacity.
- Experience working within the food service, FMCG, logistics, or cold storage industries is highly regarded.
- Strong experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) alongside good computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
- A current LF Forklift Licence is mandatory.
- Ability to commit to a 6-day roster working Sunday to Friday, 4:00 pm – 12:00 am.
Salary & Work Rights
- 100K - 115K + Super ; time in-lieu offered
- Location: Bankstown, NSW (On-site role).
- Full Australian working rights required.
