The Role: Product Developer
As a Product Developer, you will be a cornerstone of the Research & Development (R&D) team. You will lead the creation and optimization of frozen baked goods, ensuring they meet rigorous quality standards, market trends, and nutritional requirements for major private label and food service clients.

Responsibilities
Innovation & Formulation: Develop new recipes and re-design current frozen bakery products to align with client needs and strategic goals.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain product specifications, SOPs, formulations, nutrition facts tables, and ingredient declarations.
Commercialization: Plan and lead full-scale plant trials to move products from the lab to the production floor efficiently.
Sourcing & Compliance: Evaluate new ingredients and packaging solutions while ensuring all products comply with CFIA/FDA regulations and certifications (e.g., Kosher, Halal).
Project Management: Coordinate the distribution of samples for external stakeholders and manage project timelines across departments (FSQA, Purchasing, Sales, and Production).
Market Insight: Monitor consumer trends and emerging food technologies to inform future product strategies.
Qualifications
Education: Post-Secondary degree in Food Science or a related field (B.Sc preferred).
Experience: 4–7 years of dedicated experience in Product Development or R&D within the food industry.
Specialized Knowledge: Direct experience in Bakery/Industrial Baking is considered a significant asset.
Technical Agility: Strong computer skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and urgent client requests.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
