Job Title: Project Manager – Capital Projects (Civil / Marine Infrastructure)
Work Type: Contract (12 Months + Extensions)
Pay Rate: $97.00 – $103.00 + Super (PAYG)
Location: Brisbane
About the Role:
We are partnering with a premier Queensland State Government department to secure an experienced Project Manager (Capital Projects) to join their maritime assets and infrastructure team.
In this role, you will lead high-profile public infrastructure projects from feasibility, concept, and detailed design through to construction-readiness. A key priority will involve driving a flagship boat harbour upgrade project—progressing concept designs into detailed, construction-ready plans while shaping land-side, marine, and active transport infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multidisciplinary consultant teams, technical advisors, and design reviews across civil, marine, and land-side infrastructure.
- Progress key projects through formal gated assurance frameworks and government governance systems to achieve construction readiness.
- Manage end-to-end procurement, tender documentation, and contract administration for design and technical consultants.
- Control project governance, including schedules, budgets, cash flows, and risk registers in enterprise project systems (e.g., 3PCM / SAP).
- Engage proactively with key stakeholders, local councils, contractors, and internal project teams.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven track record managing infrastructure projects through planning and design phases (civil, marine, transport, or public sector environments preferred).
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Construction, Urban Planning, or equivalent industry experience.
- Solid grasp of contract management, procurement, and gated project frameworks (TMR OnQ, PMBOK, or PRINCE2).
- Highly developed stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with project management systems such as 3PCM, SAP, or MS Project is highly advantageous.
