Key Responsibilities
Site Inspections: Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure compliance with OSHA (or relevant local) standards and internal safety policies.
Hazard Assessment: Identify, document, and mitigate workplace hazards.
Incident Investigation: Lead the "root cause analysis" for any near-misses or accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Training & Mentorship: Conduct safety orientations for new hires and lead "Toolbox Talks" or monthly safety meetings.
Permit Management: Oversee high-risk activities requiring permits, such as lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, or hot work.
Reporting: Maintain accurate safety logs and prepare weekly/monthly safety performance reports for leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) preferred.
Certifications: OSHA 30-hour (Construction or General Industry) is a must. ASP (Associate Safety Professional) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) is a major plus.
Experience: [3-5] years of experience in a safety role within the [Insert Industry] sector.
