We are seeking a high-caliber SEMH Teaching Assistant for a specialist provision in Bolton. This role is vital in supporting pupils across KS2, KS3, and KS4 who have faced barriers to learning in mainstream education.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored support to students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans).
- Assist in managing the classroom environment, ensuring triggers for pupils are minimized.
- Facilitate small group sessions focusing on emotional literacy and social skills.
- Provide classroom coverage and support during practical and theory-based lessons.
- Help students develop coping strategies for their behavioral and mental health challenges.
Requirements
- Must have prior experience in an SEMH or SEN environment.
- Availability for full-time work (Monday to Friday).
- Enhanced DBS on the update service is a requirement for the role.
- A proactive "can-do" attitude and a high level of emotional intelligence.
