Randstad Senior Finance is partnering with a leading infrastructure business to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their finance team.
This dynamic role bridges the gap between financial control and site operations. You will work closely with Project Leaders to drive job profitability, oversee end-to-end project financial lifecycles, and deliver actionable insights across major infrastructure projects.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the finance leadership team, you will take ownership of project financial governance while supporting operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee progress billings, contract variations, WIP analysis, accruals, and project setup and closeout procedures.
- Deliver monthly project reporting packages, including cost-to-complete forecasts, variance analysis, and performance dashboards.
- Monitor project claims and drive efficient collection workflows to optimise Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Partner across engineering and site teams to ensure project costs are accurately allocated according to contractual agreements.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll and resolve complex payroll queries in a timely manner.
- Compile specialised project compliance documentation.
- Contribute to enhancing internal controls and support the implementation of new ERP or project management software.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- CA/CPA qualification (or active progress towards completion) is required.
- Deep understanding of job costing principles, WIP accounting, project financial controls, and advanced financial modelling in Microsoft Excel.
- Confident communication skills with a demonstrated ability to partner effectively with non-financial site managers and technical staff.
- Meticulous attention to detail combined with strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
