The Reality of the Role
This isn't a "churn and burn" environment. You will be assigned to a project with a realistic program and a budget that hasn't been squeezed to the breaking point with very well regarded clients.
Sector Focus: Deep-dive into Schools (Government & Private) and Senior Living.
Commercial Lead: You will own the procurement schedule, subcontract management, and monthly reporting.
Mentorship: Direct oversight of one CA; you are responsible for their commercial development.
Stability: A debt-free balance sheet and a secured pipeline of work through 2027.
The Commercials
Salary: Attractive salary on offer (negotiable based on project history).
Perks: A range of perks that go above and beyond the norm.
Flexibility: A genuine 5-day work week. Site teams are structured to ensure no one is pulling 60+ hours as a standard.
Location: Central head office location with parking as well as comfortable site base.
What is Required
I’m looking for a "career CA"—someone who enjoys the technicality of the contract and the strategy of procurement.
Experience: Minimum 4+ years in a CA role within the Australian commercial tier 1, 2 or 3 space.
Sector Expertise: Proven track record in Education, Aged Care, or Health projects or similar commercial construction projects. You understand the "live environment" risks associated with these builds.
Systems: Proficiency in standard CA and accounting systems.
Recruiter’s Perspective
This builder is for the professional who is tired of the Tier 1 bureaucracy but wants the same level of project complexity. They don't micromanage, but they do expect high-level financial reporting and proactive risk management.
