As the Senior Equipment Manager, you will hold a critical leadership position. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of all manufacturing machinery, including installation, maintenance, and performance optimization. Your primary goal is to ensure seamless production, minimize downtime, and maximize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). This role is ideal for a seasoned technical leader with a deep commitment to continuous improvement and team development.
key responsibilities
Asset Lifecycle Management: Lead the full scope of equipment installation, testing, and commissioning to facilitate production requirements. Develop and implement robust preventive maintenance programs to guarantee operational reliability.
Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults in production systems to provide immediate support during breakdowns. Maintain detailed records of performance and repair history.
Process & Efficiency Engineering: Analyze machinery data to identify performance gaps and implement automation or efficiency enhancements to boost output. Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize integrated manufacturing workflows.
Team Leadership & Capability Building: Supervise, mentor, and train a team of engineers and technicians to enhance their technical skill sets. Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe and efficient equipment handling.
Inventory & Safety Compliance: Manage spare parts procurement to prevent operational disruptions. Ensure all technical activities strictly comply with safety regulations and industry standards, conducting risk assessments where necessary.
requirements
Education: A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.
Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance and management within a manufacturing environment. Proven experience in leading and developing technical teams.
Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of equipment installation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with industrial automation is essential. Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and schematics.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership abilities.
