About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Partners, you will play a central role in managing an engaging portfolio of private client groups across but not limited to, manufacturing, distribution, construction, and professional services. This role offers an ideal balance of core compliance and value-add advisory, alongside structured mentorship opportunities:
- Deliver high-quality financial statements, tax returns, and activity statements for diverse entities (companies, trusts, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals).
- Provide client-centric advisory services, assisting business owners with cash flow forecasting, management reporting, and business structuring.
- Act as a key relationship contact for clients, adopting a consultative, active-listening approach that builds and retains long-standing client relationships.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, with direct oversight and supervisory support for a Graduate Accountant and processing staff.
- Work collaboratively within a supportive 10-person office environment backed by efficient admin and workflow support.
Ideal Profile
- CA or CPA qualified with a minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience within an Australian public practice firm.
- Strong technical proficiency across Australian taxation compliance, GST, FBT, CGT, and financial reporting standards.
- A service-minded professional who values relationship building, and thoughtful advice.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex tax matters into practical, commercial advice for business owners.
- Natural leadership potential with a desire to mentor junior staff and step into key supervisory responsibilities.
