You will be integral to the delivery of large-scale renewable energy substation, BESS, and wind projects across Australia. This role involves a strategic mix of office-based engineering and hands-on site presence (FIFO required), working closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and key stakeholders to drive project milestones forward.
This position requires a high degree of technical ownership and documentation management, including:
Contract Management: Develop comprehensive subcontract scopes of work and review Request for Quotation (RFQ) submissions.
Documentation & Quality: Build detailed work packages, and be responsible for the development, implementation, and closing of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
Technical Oversight: Take ownership of the Request for Information (RFI) process and ensure the accuracy of redline drawings.
Safety & Compliance: Actively participate in design reviews, including safety in design, and attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and site inspections.
Execution: Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and built exactly to specification.
We need a highly capable Project Engineer with a proven track record in high-voltage environments and large-scale infrastructure.
Qualification: Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering.
Project Experience: Proven experience as a Project Engineer delivering large-scale energy projects. Prior experience with HV Substations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or Wind Farms is highly desirable.
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of HV/LV systems, grid connections, and Balance of Plant (BOP) design and construction.
Logistics: Willingness and ability to FIFO (Fly-In, Fly-Out) or DIDO to project sites across Australia as required.
