Senior Project Engineer | 3-6 Month Contract | Immediate Start
Randstad have partnered with a global specialist contractor to recruit a Senior Project Engineer for their expanding Victorian structural remedial division. Known for handling complex engineering challenges, this business delivers specialised concrete repair, steel strengthening, and asset maintenance across civil and building infrastructure.
This is a 6-month contract position based on-site in Melbourne.
About the Role
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will take full technical ownership of structural remedial projects on-site. Reporting directly to state leadership and working closely with the Project Manager, your focus will be driving program delivery and quality from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
...Lead the day-to-day delivery of specialised remediation works, focusing on asset maintenance, concrete rehabilitation, and structural reinforcement.
Review engineering drawings to resolve design discrepancies and technical roadblocks directly on the ground.
Monitor project schedules, track expenditures, evaluate subcontractor output, and administer variations as required.
Serve as a technically sound point of contact for project consultants and client representatives.
Champion a strict zero-harm environment and mitigate potential operational risks before they impact the timeline.
What You'll Bring
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
5+ years of construction experience, with proven on-site delivery in civil, remedial, or structural works.
Strong capability in interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications.
A technically sharp, organised mindset with the readiness to manage commercial outcomes.
