About the Opportunity

Following the recent award of a flagship 25+ storey luxury residential tower on the Gold Coast, one of South East Queensland’s most respected Tier 2 builders is looking to expand its site team. This role is highly flexible: Whether you are a Cadet/Graduate looking to cut your teeth on a major high-rise, or an Experienced Site Engineer ready to hit the ground running and step toward a Project Engineer role, we want to hear from you. The position will be tailored to your current experience level, with structured mentoring provided by an industry-leading Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Site Manager and Project Engineer, you will be the crucial link between the design documentation and on-site delivery. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Site Coordination & Subcontractor Management: Assist in coordinating site activities, ensuring trades are working safely, to schedule, and in line with construction drawings.
• Quality Assurance (QA) & Quality Control (QC): Conduct rigorous ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), pre-pour checks, and defect management to ensure the project meets luxury finishing standards.
• Document Control: Manage RFIs (Requests for Information), site instructions, and ensure the latest revisions of drawings are distributed to subcontractors.
• Package Support: Depending on your experience, you will assist in or take ownership of specific trade packages (e.g., structure, facade, services, or internal fit-out).
• Safety & Compliance: Champion site safety, assisting with inductions, toolbox talks, and SWMS reviews.
• Problem Solving: Identify on-site clashes or constructability issues early and work with the project team to find practical solutions.

About You

We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented professional who is eager to learn and grow within a high-performing site team.

• Qualifications: Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or similar (Final year students/Cadets are highly encouraged to apply).
• Experience: Ranging from 0 to 4 years in the commercial or multi-residential construction space. (Previous exposure to structural concrete, high-rise, or luxury residential is a bonus, but not essential for cadets).
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering plans.
• Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with construction software such as Procore, Aconex, Bluebeam, or MS Project is advantageous.
• Soft Skills: A proactive "can-do" attitude, excellent communication skills to liaise with rough-and-ready trades as well as corporate consultants, and a genuine hunger to build a long-term career in construction.
