The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be the "boots on the ground" lead for structural trades and site coordination. Your focus will be on maintaining momentum, safety, and quality during a critical phase of the build.
Key Responsibilities:
Subcontractor Management: Coordinate on-site labour, material deliveries, and trade sequences.
Programming: Manage short-term programming and ensure key milestones align with the master schedule.
SQE Leadership: Maintain rigorous safety and environmental standards through site inspections and hazard rectification.
Quality Control: Review shop drawings, manage ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), and identify/rectify defects early to ensure a smooth close-out.
Compliance: Ensure all site activity adheres to the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven Experience: Strong background in multi-story/high-rise construction (7+ stories preferred).
Structures Specialist: Deep understanding of structural packages, design resolution, and technical detailing.
Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret complex plans, specifications, and PPR documentation.
Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold subcontractors accountable for time, cost, and safety.
Immediate Availability: You must be ready to hit the ground running for an immediate start.
