Looking to expand your expertise in international taxation within a collaborative, global environment?
We are seeking a Tax Compliance Specialist to join our centralized Tax Operations team in Wrocław. In this role, you will take ownership of routine and ad-hoc tax compliance workflows for legal entities across the EMEA footprint. Acting as an essential conduit between local finance teams, GBS stakeholders, and Corporate Tax managers, you will ensure high-standard tax declarations, reconciliations, and reporting accuracy across diverse fiscal systems.
What will your tasks involve?
- Tax Return Preparation: Compile and prepare statutory filings and recurring fiscal submissions (including VAT statements, withholding tax, and corporate income tax schedules) for designated EMEA entities within mandated legal deadlines.
- Data Sourcing & Quality Assurance: Extract transaction-level data across multiple financial systems, performing line-item checks, reconciliations, and balance verifications to preserve overall ledger and filing integrity.
- Transactional Alignment: Coordinate tax-related general ledger entries, period-end adjustments, and system postings in close synchronization with shared services accounting streams.
- Controls & Documentation: Apply preventive and detective control procedures to minimize filing risks, log discrepancies, implement corrective operational measures, and maintain well-structured audit documentation and tax authority archives.
- Operational Collaboration: Partner effectively with regional business controllers, internal tax colleagues, and external fiscal advisors to clarify local regulations, answer operational queries, and support standard tax audits.
What we expect from you?
- Professional Background: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in tax compliance, corporate accounting, or fiscal advisory, ideally acquired within a shared services center (SSC/GBS) or an international consulting practice.
- Tax Competence: Working familiarity with direct and indirect tax mechanics (such as VAT, CIT, and WHT) and standard tax accounting cycles, paired with an interest in adapting to shifting tax mandates.
- Technical Toolkit: Practical user experience with enterprise ERP software (specifically SAP FI or SAP S/4HANA) alongside solid proficiency in MS Excel for reconciliation and reporting work.
- Mindset & Communication: Self-driven approach, sharp attention to detail, sound problem-solving abilities, and an open, team-oriented attitude in cross-border engagements.
- Language & Education: Fluent command of English (minimum B2/C1) for daily international communication; university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law, or related fields.
What you can expect from us?
- Real exposure to multi-country European tax operations and complex corporate structures.
- Flexible working model with hybrid office/home balance.
- Access to ongoing technical training, system workshops, and defined internal development paths.
- Comprehensive benefits package (private medical healthcare, sports package, life insurance, professional upskilling support).
